TIPS & TRICKS

The rulers won't lean much if the gash in the wood is deep enough and not too wide - and I think it would be important not to store them in direct sunlight. The clips won't interfere with the rack assuming there is enough space between the gashes.

Oh, I get it now. Thanks, LadyD. I was in the mindset of a cooling rack for cookies. Why? I've not a clue. Yes, of course. I know exactly what the rack is referring to now.

Do you like the rack? I've seen them and I always wondered about r...

I'm guessing In Stitches has a piece of wood with gashes sawed into them. I have one as well which holds my most used rulers. The others and templates that are my "regrets" or seldom used are stored elsewhere. If only I knew then what I know ...

I am very familiar with "the chenille brush" and I don't happen to need one thank you very much. I am chuckling and also embarrassed by that purchase. It's a brush you could buy at a Canadian Tire or Dollarama for crying out loud. There's a...

Ha! I have ruler regrets AND cool tool regrets also. We should compare them one day. I bet I have one or two exactly that same as you. The Chenille Brush anyone? It's yours for free!

Good ideas. I keep my rulers in a rack and the instructions are in a drawer. I have to go searching in the drawer to find them when needed, and I thought I was so clever.

The earlier thread has got me thinking about THOSE rulers we purchased for which we now have no use. As I said in the other topic, I have a drawer full of "regrets", but maybe they are something someone else wants.

I am not sure of the logistics b...

Bulldog clips!!! Thank you for that! I knew they had a special name but could not come anywhere near remembering what they were called.

Yup! I am very thankful to have that Dresden Plate ruler because the ones they are selling today barely have any...

Good idea. The ZipLoc bag is good too. I've been using elastic bands and I can tell you that doesn't work.

I have an awful lot of rulers apparently I just had to have over the years. I wish I didn't buy half of them.

I see you've got an old...

Your process is perfect. I suppose one could also store the instructions and the ruler (if it isn't too big) in a ZipLoc bag but your method is cleaner. (Your clips are also know as bulldog clips. Clothes pins could also be used.)
