  • Description : Before reading the rest of this description, please take the time to hit the "photos" tab in the menu and then be sure to actually click on those photos to get a good close look at Rose's workmanship. My heart skipped several beats when Rose presented this to me, and I was, quite simply put, blown out of my boots!!! Words cannot describe my gratitude for her incredible custom quilting. Truth be told, there is not a single open area large enough for a glass head pin to sit. The custom quilting is comparable to something you would expect to see in Paducah. Rose went over the top for me, and I am absolutely gobsmacked. She does this all free-hand on her Innova long arm by the way!!! As for my participation, it was quite easy. I used pre-fused, pre-cut Silhouettes from Laundry Basket Quilts and did a simple blanket stitch to complete the applique process. I think it took me much longer than the average bear, but what the heck. It took me so long, Sue at thimbles & things where I was fortunate to be able to procure all of the fabric, pattern and Silhouettes probably thinks the quilt got swept away in a flood. The long and short of it is that it is now complete and I couldn't be happier. Absolutely top drawer, Rose!! This one will take anyone's breath away. 100% wool batting was used. Finished size 63" x 82 ". www.fancyfeathers.ca www.thimblesandthings.com
